Tortola

Tortola, while not the largest of the British Virgin Islands,  it is the most populous.  The capitol is Roadtown, a charming village with many quaint shops and historic sites to visit.  the Joseph  Wilfred Penn house, once home to the famous shipwright, now houses  an eclectic collection of early BVI artifacts and photographs.  Near the historic Post Office you can find the Botanical Gardens displaying the native and exotic fauna.  There are many varied restaurants within walking distance of the docks should you decide to have a meal ashore.Soper's Hole, Tortola

The West End of Tortola is located in a deep, protected bay also known as Soper's Hole.   Once a notorious hangout for pirates, Soper's Hole now houses an array of brightly colored shops and restaurants.  For more information: www.bvitourism.com

On adjacent Beef Island, is the lovely hamlet in Trellis Bay.  Home to galleries and studios of local artists, Trellis Bay boasts many small shops where their work is available for sale.

Michael BeansNearby Marina Cay offers a Happy Hour show that can't be missed!  A one man band, Michael Beans will entertain you with his pirate songs and island tales.  This is always a favorite outing!
